Hey everyone!
The walkers have been working hard everyday to persevere in the heat! We had a great night at Saint Greg's on Saturday night.. Our alumni visited and made an absolutely delicious dinner for us. We completed 17.5 miles on Saturday!
Sunday we left Saint Greg's and were able to complete 18.5 miles to the Roy's in Standish, Maine. They welcomed us with open arms and incredible hospitality as usual! Father Anselm visited and lead mass for all of us in the Roy's backyard. We surprised Sarah Murray (Sarah Tall) with a cake for her 22nd birthday and were all able to celebrate! Everyone got a good night sleep in the backyard as well as in the Roy's home… And Mrs. Roy graciously did some laundry so now the walkers have some fresh clean clothes!! The walkers woke up to the delicious smells of so much food… A huge breakfast casserole homemade by the Roy's!
The walkers are currently on their way to the Bonny Eagle school in Standish, Maine and we will overnight at Friendship Park in East Waterboro.
They are in for a special treat as we will be stopping at Rite Aid… Where walkers can buy some special treats and stock up on foot care supplies to treat blisters! The walkers will complete 18.5 miles today making it approximately 55 miles completed! We will be updating you again soon! Thank you for all your support and visits from families and friends, the walkers are walking hard and love to see all the amazing support.
