Christmas Events Guide 2017

Saint Anselm College celebrates the arrival of the Christmas season with a variety of events, ranging from family festivals to the annual DecemberSong concert by the college choir to the Davison Hall Christmas Feast. Please join us for the 26th annual Children's Holiday Fair on Saturday, December 2 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Carr Activities Center.

Christmas Giving Tree

Through December 15

Help aid the Catholic Charities of New Hampshire by giving back to our community this holiday season. Trees with gift tags are located in Alumni Hall, first floor, and the Abbey Church lobby. Please return wrapped gifts with tags to Campus Ministry, Lower Church, by Friday, December 15.

Fair Trade Fair

Stop by Campus Ministry's Fair Trade Fair to help support economic justice in developing countries. Come see beautiful and unique hand crafted gifts, jewelry, housewares and more that are made by artisans from around the world!

Gingerbread House Competition

Each year, 400 students gather in Davison Hall to participate in the annual Gingerbread House Competition. Using supplies provided by Dining Services, teams of four students design their sweet creations to be displayed under the Davison Hall Christmas tree. The Saint Anselm community will be invited to judge your creations, and the top three teams will receive cash prizes! Winners will be announced on December 8.

Children’s Holiday Fair

Kick off the holiday season with a great event for families, the Meelia Center for Community Engagement's 26th annual Children’s Holiday Fair. This is a free and fun holiday event the whole family can enjoy. There are over 40 activity tables hosted by Saint Anselm students, featuring holiday crafts, games, free photos with Santa, and food for all!

DecemberSong is a special service of readings and songs celebrating the Christmas season. The program begins in darkness with a candlelight contemplative song then progresses through the Advent and Christmas seasons. This year's program, the night before the first Sunday of Advent is a perfect way to prepare for the special seasons of December.
